    3. Gertrude Elaine "Trudy" Glaser, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 92. She was born on April 3, 1927 in Cook County, Illinois and was raised on a farm in the Schaumburg area. As a young woman, she took the train into Chicago where she was an executive secretary at several companies. She met Don Glaser and they were married on August 28, 1949. Through their marriage, they lived in Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois and settled in New Bern, North Carolina in1978, where she worked for many years as Branch Office Administrator at Edward Jones. She was an active member of Garber United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included reading scripture, knitting, flowers, gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Gail Glaser, Gus Glaser, Grace (Victor) Poole, Gary (Beth) Glaser; her grandchildren: Asher Glaser, Rio Glaser Schoff, Aidan Glaser Schoff, William (Kenny) Poole II, Luke Poole; and her great-grandchildren: Sawyer and Madison Glaser-Schoff. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald E. Glaser; parents: Louis and Frieda (Grosse) Pohlman; brothers: Louis, William, Lawrence, Victor, Harvey, Marvin and Clarence; sisters: Elvira and Lorraine; and one granddaughter: Eve Gartner. A Memorial Service will be held at Garber United Methodist Church in New Bern, NC on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1p.m., with a reception to follow. A graveside memorial will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, Illinois at a later date. Memorials may be made in Trudy's honor to Garber United Methodist Church, Children's Ministries, 4201 Country Club Road, New Bern, North Carolina 28562 or via http://connect2garber.com/giving.     3. SYCAMORE - Kenneth W. Wiese, 53, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, with his family at his side. He was born Aug. 8, 1966, in Sycamore the son of Carlton and Kathleen "Kathy" (Turk) Wiese. Ken was a member and president of the 1984 Class of Burlington Central High School and a 1988 graduate of Illinois State University. He had been employed as a procurement officer for NIU for the past year. Prior to that he was storekeeper at Rochelle Municipal Utilities. He was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sycamore and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Ken was a proud and loving father to four sons, Ryan, Nicholas, and twins Zachary and Nolan Wiese. Also surviving are his father, Carlton (Mary Ellen) Wiese; a sister, Janet (Brian) Paulsen; nieces, Sophia and Alexandra Paulsen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy in 2000; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 21, between 12 Noon and 4 PM at St. Mary's Memorial Hall, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore. Donations in memory of Ken can be directed to Catholic Charities, PO Box 7044, Rockford, IL 61125. The Fredrick Funeral Home in Hampshire is assisting the family. Since I am in California and others are far flung as well, I think that if an obituary is relevant to Schaumburg families, it is legitimate to include, even if it is not a Cook County newspaper. As long as the post is labeled as Schaumburg, I don't think it is out of bounds for the Cook County Groups.io posts.     3. ELGIN - Luella Lichthardt, 97, of Elgin passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at The Vines in Elgin. She was born on November 4, 1922 in Addison, IL to Albert & Emma Schaper Meyer. She is survived by her daughter Susan Kay (Charles) McDonald, son-in-law William (Debbie) Robinson; grandchildren: Stephanie Robinson, Josh (Chanel) Robinson, Jill Bons (Mike Fisher) and Tom (Michele) McDonald; 6 great grandchildren: Madison, Grant & Kennedy Lu Bons, Ellie & Alex McDonald, and Sydney Kathy Robinson. Many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold E. Lichthardt, daughter Kathy Robinson, brother Arvin Meyer and sister Flora Kollwelter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.     3. Lucile M. Nerge, 91, of Delavan formerly of Harvard, IL passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Delavan Health Services in Delavan, WI. She was born February 20, 1928, in Elmhurst, IL the daughter of the late August and Clara (Kanis) Thies. Lucile was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching the Price is Right game show and listening to Lawrence Welk. On November 22, 1945, Lucile married Stuart W. Nerge in Schaumburg, IL. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2008. She enjoyed helping Stuart out on the farm and loved to cook. Survivors include her daughter-in-law Donna Nerge; two grandchildren Jason, and Danielle (Dave) Voght; great-grandson Connor Voght; sister-in-law Dorothy Nerge and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and children Danny and David Nerge. Visitation will 11 am - 12 noon Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 504 E.     3. PALATINE - Michael "Mike" Behrens, 57, a lifelong Palatine resident, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2020. Michael was born September 3, 1961, in Des Plaines Illinois to Lloyd and Carol Behrens. Michael and his 3 siblings grew up in Palatine and graduated from Palatine High School. After graduating from Palatine High School, Michael started his long-running landscape business, Behrens Landscaping, Inc. He purchased 1.5 acres of property at Rand and Lake Cook roads in Deer Park, IL, and built his office and yard. He has serviced the northwest community with landscape services and supplies for 39 years. He has many friends in the landscape industry and was known to help new landscapers out with advice and know-how. Mike married Carmia (Carrie J. Divita) on February 28, 1987, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL. He and Carrie raised 4 children together from their dream "farmette" in Palatine. Mike had many interests such as organic gardening, beekeeping, maple sugaring, fishing, working on engines and antique tractors. He could fix anything and was an expert in drainage solutions. Mike is survived by his wife Carrie, his children Melissa N. (Max Lynch), Michael M. Behrens, Morgan M. Behrens, Mathew W. Behrens and his two grandchildren Elliot and Olivia Lynch, his parents Lloyd and Carol Behrens, siblings Jeffrey L. (Shelley) Behrens, Debra J. Grothe, Dara L. She is preceded in death by parents, Richard and Minnie Pomplun; 3 brothers, Raymond, Richard and LeRoy; one sister, Marie; and former spouse Louis E. Tegtmeier. Lorraine is survived by five children, Darleen, Diane, Thomas (Linda), Terry (Barbara) and Todd (Dee); and grandchildren, Sherrie (Brian), Leigha, Brian (Miranda), Thomas, Julie and Darcy; and great-grandchildren Tommy, Holley, Thomas, Graham, Alyonna, Braxton and Brayden.
