Jackie, I've gone through the 18 pages of Ward 14 Ed 152 at ancestry.com and also Heritage Quest though my library. I did not find Pierce St. nor did I find any of the Goode family. It's possible an entire area and it's inhabitants was just missed - not enumerated. Sorry I couldn't help you. I have followed all of the great directions and so far have not found this street in the following 14th Ward--Districts 149, 150. 151, 152, 153. It appears on the enumerations map 152 is the correct district with the old number 52 Pierce changing to 3251 Pierce. Looking on Map Quest to find existing streets surrounding Pierce I found none of those streets in 152 except Ashland, North Ave. Division St. the apparent larger streets I did find a few other small streets none on the Map Quest existing map. I find this really strange since on the enumerations map district 152 of 14th ward appears to be much larger than the other Pierce districts I checked and it has the fewest pages about 22. Has anyone found this problem? There surely has to be more streets somewhere else in the 1880 census that belonged in that 152 district. I am looking for a Margaret Goode with children Francis, Etta, William J., Maude and Rose. Margaret's husband John Goode is living in a boarding house a traveling salesman. This last child born 1879 Rose birth certificate is listed at residence 52 Pierce as well as John Goode's directory entry in 1880 as 52 Pierce. You have been so kind to help me and I do appreicate all you have and can do.
