To answer the questions I've received: You cannot order the marriage application online through the cookcountygenealogy.com link. You have to do it in person at the County Clerk's office at 69 W. Washington lower level. They do have a new office layout, much more efficient than the old place. I had to pay $15 for the marriage certificate, PLUS another $15 for the license application...hey, we've got politician's relatives to support here! Please excuse my sarcasm ;-} Hope this helps. I ordered a marriage record from 1874. It had the place of birth for the bride and groom on it and the church they were married at. Does anyone on the list know how far back the applications go? I had heard that the county didn't keep them...any information about the applications?
