Yes, I became aware of this just this last March (2009), after finding a doctored/adoptive parents' filing of a birth certificate for the child that the "adoptive" parents stole in 1957. Learned about the availability of TX adoptive & original birth certificates, when I was researching on behalf of the surviving siblings of the "adopted" child, who always wanted to know "What happened to our sister Anna, after she was stolen from us?" (at age 3) I found "Anna" - and introduced her to her original family, last April. molly Molly Kennedy P O Box 5785 Springfield, IL 62705 AUGUST 2009 - 1916-1947 IL DEATH CERT DISCOUNT!
