Thanks so much for your response, Kate. Like so many people my search is not as straightforward as I would like. I'm looking for a male surnamed Wentworth whose wife shows up as Minnie. I'm not familiar with the Chicago directories, but many other city directories I've used show--for example: Wentworth, John Doe [Minnie] xxx address. My relative Minnie Roades was married to a man named Wentworth, but we don't know his first name. If this is too difficult a search, I will understand. It would be a big breakthrough for us if we could find out Mr Wentworth's first name.
