How well I remember the Frango mints - they were always a special treat when I was a kid. My grandmother would take me and my mother to lunch at the Walnut Room every year at Christmas time - always had a table that was right at the railing by the huge tree. I recall the Frango mints as well. We did not get them very often because after moving to the suburbs our treats started being the fresh candies my Grandmother brought home from work. where did she work? Fannie Mae Candies! Talk of good. I recall the big fancy Easter Eggs. They were so pretty BUT being a sweet kid.lol I could not eat them. But did you ever have fresh Cashews right off the line?
