    1. RE: [IL-CHICAGO] Cemetery Burials On Line
    2. THOMAS MACKOWIAK
    3. Susanne at [email protected] asked if there is a way to check the burials in the Catholic Cemeteries in the Chicago area. Susanne, There is no on-line way of checking the burials in the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Chicago. There are computer kiosks in most of the larger Catholic Cemeteries in the Archdiocese of Chicago which can be used to find interment information on people buried in the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The interment database that is available on these computer kiosks is an on going project. The interment information for all the Catholic Cemeteries is not in the database as yet. The basic information in the database is the Surname, Given Name, Cemetery of Burial, Age at Death (if known), and Interment Date (not date of death). When you click on a specific name in the database, you are taken to a second screen which gives you the location of the grave at the cemetery (Section, Block and Grave Number). You can also print out the information of the burial location along with a map of the cemetery showing the location of the sections of the cemetery. The map gives you a general idea of where the grave is located because the section is shown but the specific location of the grave is not shown. You have to ask the cemetery office staff to help you pinpoint the location of the grave. Thomas Mackowiak MACKOWIAK/SERWATKIEWICZ/WANATOWICZ/JANUSZEWSKI/LESCZYNSKI/ORLIKOWSKI/MROZ/MU NO/HARNEY
