Hello all Would someone kindly do a look up for me? I need the obituary for Matthew Ryan who died Jan 23, 1938 in Chicago. I have already tried the Chicago Tribune Archive site, but they don't have it. If anyone has any suggestions on how else I might be able to retrieve it online, I would appreciate it. I don't find it in the ProQuest Chicago Tribune online. It was either a paid obituary (which they can't put online), or did not appear there. Molly Kennedy does research for obituaries for papers including the Tribune at the Abraham Presidential Library in Springfield (which has a lot of papers on microfilm). She is quite reasonable. Maureen There may never have been an obit or it was in another paper. It is possible to check each paper - not on line-and still find nothing.
