Elaine - Yes, I do quite a bit of newspaper research, including the Denni Hlasatel, the Dziennik Chicagoski, some German, Flemish, Swedish and French newspapers... in addition to any English-language newspapers on microfilm at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. I hit the ALPLM almost on a daily basis. Valentine - I still research at the IL State Archives... also on a daily basis... for 1916-1947 death certificates, state, federal & Civil War Militia censuses, & anything else I can "dig" up~ If more than 2 days go by without visiting the Archives, one of their staffers usually calls me on the phone to make sure I'm ok!
