Hi list, I am trying to do a property search using 1930 census information. Address is: 228 South 21st. Avenue. Block #10 Maywood Village Proviso Twp. When I use either Maywood or Proviso Twp. I get a picture of two different places in two different locations within Chicago. One takes me to Chicago Heights, the other to 21st Avenue. Which would be the correct one? I am not familiar with Chicago in this regard. Thank you, Brenda

Hi Brenda, I asked my map program to find 228 South 21st. Avenue in Illinois and it found only one. The location is the one you mentioned on 21st, with the closest intersection being Oak. It is due west of the loop, about 12 miles, and one block between St. Charles Road and Randolph Street. The address is Maywood, IL, 60153. I'll send a map in a separate e-mail, hope you can view it.
