Val The last time I did a search on the LDS site those records were not there. A glitch in the LDS search engine. I got the data base from another person and looked at that so there is not step by step to give. I'll save Arleen some typing! <smile> 1) Go to http://www.familysearch.org 2) Choose "Explore the Family History Library Catalog" 3) Select "Place search" 4) Search for "Chicago" in the place field (no need to type anything in the "part of" box 5) Select "Illinois, Cook, Chicago" 6) Select "Illinois, Cook, Chicago--Church Records" If the catalog is in a good mood, which it has been, last little while, you will get a list of the Catholic parishes (and records from other denominations) that have been filmed. (There are 262 titles today; if you see fewer, the catalog is having problems again . . . ) 7) Click on the link to read more about each parish's records. 8) Click on "Film Notes" to view film numbers and specific information about records available and the years covered If the catalog doesn't work for you, email me directly. I have the links in a spreadsheet to make things quicker for me . . .
