Any attemps to contact their daughter, Helen, who was 13 at the time, were done through a "Family Gemps" in either Bangor, Michigan or South Haven, Michigan. (notice there are lots of Gemps in the censuses in Michigan) This am, when I looked in Familysearch.org there is a William Gemps born in Chicago around 1882. (approx same time as Helen's mother, Annie). Wondering if there could be a connection.
