Hi, There is a Timothy Francis McAuliffe b. 1882 who worked for the railway in the WW1 Draft Reg. also in the 1930 census he shows living as a boarder/widow. I don't think this is your Timothy as the age is off and his father's place of birth is different from the 1920. That's the closest I could find.
