I know that KAM is the oldest Synagogue in Chicago-in the mid west in fact.It was established around 1854-I do not have the article in front of me but will make a copy of it if you would like. I know that it was around the area that you speak of.There is abook that is called The Spirit Builder that mentioned it also. I would like you to get in touch with Chicago Historical Society and get a list of Synagogues of that time. Perhaps they have addresses too
