    2. Perhaps it was his father [or Uncle? or Grandfather?] who was in the Civil War, as if Frank was 48 years old in 1910, he could not have been in the Civil War.     3. Many thanks for these very excellent finds. The C/K spelling variation was very helpful for KLORFINE as I found the family's 1920 Chicago census listing with parents Max and Bertha KLORFINE.     3. Hi, I did not find him on any obit index so I browsed the Chicago Trib 4/23-4/30 with no luck. I then looked at Johnsen/Johnson in ancestry's newspaper collection. Again, no luck. Sorry!     3. Did you try www.cookcountygenealogy.com? Cook County is putting its old birth (75 years +), death records (20 years +), and marriage records online. You register, and get the search and index info for free, but must pay to download the record. It is a work in progress; more is added all the time.
