I don't know of one for the 82nd, but there is one for the 81st. and it is very interesting reading, even if you don't have a direct ancestor who served in the 81st. The publication is: "Experience in the War of the Great Rebellion: By a Soldier of the Eighty First Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry" by Edmund Newsome; published 1880. This book has been reprinted by the Jackson County Historical Society, Murphysboro, IL.
