The Chicago Board of Trade sponsored 3 three Civil War Infantry units, the 72nd Illinois, "First Chicago Board of Trade," the 88th Illinois "Second Chicago Board of Trade," the 113th Illinois "Third Chicago Board of Trade," and the First Chicago Board of Trade Illinois Light Artillery Unit.
