    2. Andrea, There is a book set called the United States Roll of Honor which lists Union soldiers who died during the Civil War. It was reprinted recently by the Genealogical Publishing Co. of Baltimore, and is indexed. Many big libraries own it. Some states have Confederate Rolls of Honor books- Missouri has such a book, as does South Carolina. There are also books which list men who died in particular battles, or particular Civil War prisons. Finally, some national cemetery lists are now online- I know Camp Butler in Springfield, IL is online. National Cemeteries are administered by the Veterans' Administration. Tom Pearson
