Does anybody have any information out there regarding the first marriage of Thomas Jefferson Scroggin to a Mary (?) approximately 1859, but not sure. I have checked the Illinois Marriage Index but it does not list this marriage. I'm reasonably sure that he married his first wife in Sangamon or Logan County. Thomas was known as Jefferson and is on the 1850 Logan County census living with Leonard K. Scroggin family, and in 1860 he is listed with John England family. So, perhaps he married a Mary England?
