Jackie, Try also the spelling of Müller or Mueller. Many of the Americanized Millers from this area were spelled this way in Germany. If you purse your lips as if to say u but say the e sound instead you will have pronounced the German ü . You can then understand why the name became Miller. There are web sites and mailing lists for both the Oldenberg area and the nearby Ostfriesen area. Have you checked the Germans to America book series? There are some problems with the list but it is a good secondary source and you might get some leads there. I can't seem to find the address for the list of libraries which have all or some of the books but I know they have them at Peoria. Good luck.
