I used the Illinois Marriage Index to find my gggrandfather Tobias Bender. I was not aware that he was married twice before I used this index. I also discovered that someone else was interested in the Marriage of Tobias Bender to Elizabeth St. Clair (Sinclair) my gggrandmother, but I have not received a response to my communications although I do not receive any error messages so the messages must be getting through. If you are interested in Tobias Bender and or Elizabeth St. Clair (Sinclair) I would appreciate hearing from you. They lived in Fulton, County, Illinois and were married in the 1850s.
