Bill, I wouldn't rely on the IL statewide marriage index. I have checked for a number of my ancestors with no success, when I found them in county indexes. The state-wide is a work in progress & there are many counties that have not been entered yet. I also suspect that in the counties that have been entered, the entries are not complete. Suggest you check with each suspect county's genealogical society. Most of them have extracted & published the local county marriage index. If you need addresses, go to the USGENWEB project page, then to the state, then to the appropriate county page. Most of them have the address of the local society.
