    1. [IL-CENTRAL] early 1900s court case info?
    2. Can someone tell me where to look for the details of a court case that was said to have been well publicized? It involved the Kline estate. There is mention of Indiana. It was settled in Chicago. An heir sued and received a settlement of $70,000 per a newspaper article from early 1900s, but unknown exact date. I believe the newspaper was the Lincoln Herald as the heir was from Lincoln and the paper listed she was from this city. Would appreciate finding out where to look or if anyone has any further details. 3. Sharon, If the suit was settled in Chicago, it was probably filed in Cook County. It should be in the court records there. Those are public records & are open to anyone who wants to look at them. You probably need to determine the type of suit & who the actual parties, plaintiff & defendant, were. Then you can look up the case & get all the data you need. You may want to query someone on the Cook County mail list for assistance. ----- Original Message ----- From: <mnsajt@juno.com> To: <IL-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 25, 2000 6:17 PM Subject: [IL-CENTRAL] early 1900s court case info? > Can someone tell me where to look for the details of a court case that > was said to have been well publicized?
