Jackie, I recognize several Ostfriesen names in your letter. For the Miller name try looking under Mueller, Meuller or Müller which it would have been in the old country. The ü is pronounced by forming your lips into the shape they would make saying a u but saying e instead. Try it and you'll see how it got translated to so many different spellings.
