My ggrandfather was Owen Sowards b 1830. According to information given by Cora Sowards, wife of his son Willliam, Owen's parents were Henry and Mary and Owen was orphaned at an early age and lived with the Hoshar family in Woodford co. I have found records of a land purchase by a Henry Sowards in Mclain co in the 1830's and also Woodford co. A Henry Sowards married iMary Van Buskirkn the 1840's in Woodford co but because of the time could not have been the Henry and Mary I am seeking. Anyone have a piece of this puzzle?
