    1. [IL-CENTRAL] Marriage Lookup Needed
    2. Peg Hetlage, BenefitWorks, Inc.
    3. My grandparents were living in Decatur IL when they were married on November 18, 1923. They eloped since my grandmothers mother didn't want any of her girls to marry. (imagine!) I have requested marriage license copies from Macon County, but they apparently were not married in this county. Their names are Gerald Arthur UNDERWOOD and Erma Pauline BONNER. If anyone has marriage books from this time period for other counties, I'd sure appreciate a lookup! Peg Hetlage

    3. Great to have this list! My family members are: BONNER, Warren - found in Marion Cty 1880 census, died in Decatur, Macon Cty in 1937. Moved from Alabama with.... Henry Vail - Warren's uncle. Henry was found in Marion Cty in 1880, but not since that time. BELCHER, Noah - father of William - moved to Marion Cty sometime around 1840 from Tennessee. His son, BELCHER, William L. is the father of Margaret L. BELCHER BONNER (wife of Warren Bonner above and my namesake) BULLARD, starting with William C. who was in Morgan County IL 1836 and; moved to Macon County in 1859. Father of Charles S. BULLARD who is the father of Clara BULLARD UNDERWOOD John UNDERWOOD showed up in Macon Cty about 1856 with his uncle William NICHOLSON. John married Lucy AYRES, and they had a son James Edward (Ed) UNDERWOOD who married Clara BULLARD. Ed (as he was known) was a teacher in various schools around Macon County. That should get me started <G> Peg Hetlage Dublin, CA

    1. [IL-CENTRAL] Welcome
    2. Cheryl Rothwell
    3. Welcome to the Central Illinois Regional mailing list. I am overwhelmed with the number of subscribers in just a couple hours. Obviously there is a need. I suggest a roll call in which you list your names and counties. I'd start but my ancestors conveniently all moved to the same county in Illinois [Logan] -- and stayed there. Very considerate of them. Names I have include Downing, Clark, Harding, Lucas, Wood, Ryan, Rothwell. Cheryl Rothwell clrothwell@mindspring.com
