Searching for Benjamin CHENEY during the 1960 US Census in Illinois, and in any State Censuses during this period. In the 1850 US Census Benjamin was in Stephenson Co., Town of Erin, State of Illinois, age 47, with wife Nancy age 47. Benjamin's brothers (or cousins), H. CHENEY and Ephraim CHENEY, both with children and in separate households, were living next to Benjamin and his wife, Nancy on the same Census page. In 1870, Benjamin and Nancy, both 67, were in Otho, Webster Co., Iowa, with no children living with them. Since I can't find *any* of these CHENEY's during the 1860 Census, I'm thinking that perhaps the appropriate census pages may be lost or otherwise unaccounted for !? Can somebody be of help ?
