Hello Jennifer, I appreciate all the help I have gotten from volunteers. You all are great! Mother of Rydal (Nancy Jane Mays) died in 1878 (Rydal was born 1877) and on the 1880 census for Pulaski Co., IL John L. was listed as a widower and Rydal was 3 years old. I haven't found her since then. I suspect she may have gone to California (as did another of her sisters) to live with another sister, Mary Emma Bernard. A sister Sarah Daniel also had moved in with Mary Emma Daniels/Daniel and Sarah married an Arrington, divorced and remarried. Rydal was listed as male at one time, but she was female and I don't know what her middle name was. If she moved to California it was San Francisco, San Francisco where Mary Emma and Sarah Daniel lived. That is all the information I have. Thanks for trying to help me.
