Hello, I am new to this list and would like to ask for some help reading a census image. Does anyone have a readable image for Theresa MILARN in Alto Pass, Union Co, Ilinois? At least that is the way her name is indexed in HQ, but the copy is practically unreadable. Can anyone make out if her surname is actually MILARN and where they each were born? I can't tell if the marks for some of them are 'ditto' marks, or '1/2', or something else. All help is appreciated! Elizabeth, Welcome to the list! The image on Ancestry is much clearer. To me, the last name looks like MILAM. Also, those marks are "Te" for Tennessee.
