    3. Hello List Look-up folks, This seems to be the first day that I have started receiving mail on this list. I was surprised that it has finally started. Here is what I am looking for. It starts with the death of my first great grandfather whom I doubt will be found on the Illinois (Cook County) census but his sister and brother in law might so here goes. I do not know how long he lived in Illinois is the reason. Samuel Fair Smith son of David and Margarett (Young) Smith of East Chester Township, Westchester County, New York died at the home of his sister and brother in law in Chicago on 4 February 1920. Cook County sent me a copy of his death certificate. The medical examiner for Cook County said cause of death was unexpected but due to Pulmonary Tuberculosis. His brother in law signed the certificate and they shipped his body back to New York for burial. The signature reads George H. Brown and they seem to have been living in the inner north end of Chicago. Samuel had sisters Frances, Jane, and Sarah but I do not know which one was the wife of George. I am not sure if the widow listed in the 1910 census for Chicago is his sister however it says Frances Brown and the year of birth in New York is correct at 1947 yet the death certificate indicates that she was married or remarried in February 1920. Can anyone help figure out which sister he was living with at the time of his death? The address where they were living at the time is on the death certificate if anyone can locate it though your vital records. Thank you so much in advance. -- Daniel David Lewis Frommherz Come visit my web site www.McKenzieValleyMarket.com please write and tell me what you think of it.
