I am looking for Schwebkes in Boone County hoping to determine which of them is the father of Theodore A. Schwebke b. 1886 d. 1944. He would be 14 in 1900 and hopefully still with his family of origin. He married Caroline N. Edwards. Julius Schwebke is one of the suspects for the father. Julius was in Bonus Twp in 1910 but I did not find him there in 1900. I have no index for the 1900 Boone county census. If anyone is aware of a CD Census index which includes Boone County for 1900, I would appreciate info about where it could be purchased. Dan
Dan, At genealogy dot com there are these 4 Schwebkes for Year 1900: 4 SCHWEBKE - Head of Household: -Schwebke, Aug Bonus Township, Boone County, Illinois -Schwebke, August 2 Ward Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois -Schwebke, Carl 4 Ward Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois -Schwebke, Teodore Spring Township, Boone County, Illinois I checked each household and there are no Julieus/Julis/Julis within those households. At Heritage Quest, it also lists there are 4 SCHWEBKE Head of Household in Boone County for Year 1900. I don't have access to view them but presume they would match the same as the first subscription. So that is at least two sources to possibly rule out. Is there any Illinois genealogy web-site for Boone County? They might be a source to see if they sell a CD for that county. Also, just enter Boone County, IL CD into a search engine & see if you get any results. E-Bay is another source for genealogy items. Good luck!
