My GrGrandfather's sister Catharine A born in NY in 1847 married E R Root in DuPage County on June 27th 1868. I have contacted the County Clerk of DuPage County and they have no actual license on file, so this is all the information I have. Would someone check and see if E R Root is listed in the DuPage County census of 1870, or perhaps they are in Chicago where Catharine was living with her parents in the 1860 census.
