    3. Hi, Jennifer, This is GREAT, Many Thanks. But the detail is confusing, perhaps you would care to advise. I've just been told by a correspondent on the Missouri List, that both Thomas and his brother William arrived New Orleans sometime 1849. Both were married. Thomas to Mary. Both families must have travelled up the Mississippi, William stopping at St. Louis and Thomas travelling on to Bloomington (or thereabouts). 1850 has Thomas with Mary, no children. 1860 has Thomas with new wife Sarah Jane, with 4 children aged 14, 11, 9 and 2!!!!! Would you agree that the 3 eldest are likely to be Sarah's children from an earlier marriage (although she would only be 16 when the first was born) and that 2 yr old James is the only likely one to be Thomas's? Regards, Fred PS Would anybody on the list be able to send the images - I now have the 1880. -----Original Message----- From: Jennifer [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 05 February 2007 22:48 To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [IL-Cen] 1860/1870/1880 HARTRY Fred, This appears to be the same 1870 family in the 1860... 3. Hello Fred, Yes, it would appear that the older children could be Sarah's. I found who could be James Hartrey in the 1880. If it is him, his parentage is father ENG mother OH, which could make Thomas his father and Sarah Jane his mother. That would make them married ca. 1858. If it was possible to find Ellen, Mary B. or Flora in the 1880 is would give their parentage and determine where their father was born.
