He married Carrie Pauline Jones on March 25, 1951 in Flora, and she survives. He worked for Valley Steel, B & O Railroad, and the State of Illinois. He was also a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Flora VFW Post #3999 and Flora American Legion Post #14. Survivors include his wife Pauline Rodgers of Flora; children Linda Cammon and husband Ray on El Paso, Texas, Karen Cartnal and husband Joe of Flora, Mary Lou Rodgers of Flora, Stanley D. “Bud” Rodgers II of Xenia, and Robert Alan Rodgers of Flora; and sister Faith Pugh of Vincennes, Ind., Marilyn Sledge and husband Walt of Flora, and Carolyn Sehie and husband Bernard of Clay City. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clyde Robert Hoskins, sisters June Trago and Melba Dulaney, and one grandson. The funeral was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Frank and Bright Funeral Home with David Callahan officitaing. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Xenia with military honors.
