Hi! Does anyone have either of the 1850 or 1860 census for Bath County, IL I am trying to find the parents of one James W. Selby, who enlisted in the Civil War at Bath, in 1862. He was a drummer boy, later promoted to principle musician in 108th Inf. Company H. I don't know the name of James' father, but if someone is able to do a lookup for the 1860 Bath census, there should be a Selby family there. In James' war pension record, it says he was born in VA., 1844, but does not give a placename. Thank you in advance Muriel

I am looking for the family of Sarah Elizabeth GRIFFITH, born May 16, 1846. Her parents may have been born in Wales. Her uncle, Edward Evans, was living in Coal Valley, Rock Island County, Ill, in 1860, as was her future husband, Thomas W. Daniels.
