Nancy; this appears to be the correct Willie/William. Thanks so much; this answers some questions and gives some clues. Carol Our life may not always be the party we would have chosen, but while we are here, we may as well dance!
Carol, I reviewed the 1910 and 1920 WEBB censuses again; Maggie/Margaret's age didn't make sense from 1910 to 1920. It's very possible that in 1910 she was only 19 or 20yrs, but the '0' seems to have a tail like a 9 but could be the enumerator wrote 19 or 21y and changed it to 20y, or something like that. The 1920 clearly says Margaret is 30yr. Hope this is of some help, sorry for any confusion I may have created. Would like a look-up for: Harley J. Webb, b. abt. 1889 IL; single. Thanks for your help. Carol
Hello, I am looking for Jacob and Martha Ford in the 1870 census. I have actually looked for Jacob before (a bit) but thought if there was an every person index maybe someone could find them by looking for Martha. Jacob was born about 1838 in Indiana. He was in Vance Twp., Vermillion County, Illinois in the 1860 census. He married Martha Tipton November 10, 1862. They were in Kent County, Michigan in the 1880 census. The 1880 Census says his father was born in North Carolina and his mother in Indiana, but I don't know their names and do not have another source that confirms these birth places. They were in the 1884 Michigan Census with their children Mable, Elizabeth, William F., Sarah Ellen, and James. Jacob died May 15, 1887 in Kent County, Michigan at the age of 48. Martha died Martha died January 15, 1926 in Ottawa County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Elenor Jane Estep and Nicholas Tipton. Thanks in advance! Hope that is enough information. Laura
