Dick, I don't have access to Will County obits, but I do have access to The Chicago Tribune obits. Not sure if you already have this, I found an obit for Robert's mother. * Feb 26, 1940 Chicago Tribune Augusta Klocksieben, wife of the late William, loving mother of Herman, Robert, Augusta, Sophie, Alvina, Minnie, and the late Anna, Emma, William, and Rudolph. Funeral Wednesday, 1 p.m., at chapel, 1802 W. 103d street. Interment Beecher, Ill. Information Beverly 2245. Record Number: 19400226dn085 ------------------------------- *I found his 1918 WWI Draft Registration Card:only clues-birth date is June 2, 1881;father's name is William. Source: www.ancestry.com *I found info where Robert (& his wife) are buried. Not sure if you already had this info...sometimes (not very often), the cemetery has a copy of the obit. Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Crete, Will County, Illinois Klocksieben, Robert J..1881-1968....Zion..27...with Evelyn L. (has the wife listed separately (misspelled) Kocksieben, Evelyn L..1909-1967...Zion..27...with Robert J. Source: http://www.feefhs.org/usa/il/will/crete/cem-tlz/tlzi.html Also, when I was searching for Robert's obit on ancestry.com, I came across a 1920 Crete IL Census for one of Robert's sisters, Minnie. She actually listed the town that her parents were from in Germany...Mecklenburg. I've NEVER seen a hometown recorded on a census before. Please let me know if that's a new clue for you. Hope there's some new clues here for you... Mary Mullarkey-Wentzell Grayslake, IL
Darren, Ancestry.com has some info transcribed from the 1900 census record on their site. Hinrichs Anna, head, b Feb 1846, age 54 wd, b Germany, both parents b in Germany; George W, son, b Feb 1876 age 24, single, b in IL, both parents b in Germany Henrieta L,daughter,b Sept 1882/3age 13, single,b in IL,both parents b in Germany Emma F Cambre, daughter,b 1879,age 20, married,b in IL,both parents b in Germany (note:I'm not sure if the transcriber recorded Emma's married name correctly. I couldn't find anything on her) After I magnified the census page, I also found: Anna had 9 children, 8 were still living in 1900;she emigrated in 1846;36 yrs in USA Ancestry.com also had the 1918 WWI registration card for George-here's info that may provide clues: Full name: George Washington Hinricks, b Feb 22 1876;married to Lillian; current address 628 Central Ave Alton IL;working as a machinist at Herbert Owens in Alton in 1918. Georgette, Travis, and Beverlee, I have been following your conversation about Albert MOULTON because I am researching the PHILBRICK family and that surname has been used in your messages. My reading of the 1850 census shows that Emiline Molton Philbrick, age 29, was living in the household of her brother Joel Philbrick, age 37, which included her mother Sally, 60, and the rest of her siblings. There is no evidence that Emiline was married and there are no children in the household young enough to be her children. Certainly none of the people in the household on the census had the name Clara or Lydia. Am I missing something here? Perhaps I am looking at a totally different family. Please enlighten me.
