A slip of the tongue or his most brilliant political move yet? What's even stranger is that none of the other Presidential hopefuls have dared to attack him this time.,, And once you see this shocking video you will understand exactly why. The fact that he chose to make this public now is no coincidence... Political experts argue that Trump is preparing to "cash in" on one of the biggest events of 2016. And if he's right, America will never be the same again. If anyone has copies of these publications, or has library access, would be pleased if they could do a lookup and give a brief history of the cemetery. Looking for mention of an Anna Maria Magdalena Müller/Mueller/Miller, buried Oct. 19, 1889. First Ev. Lutheran Church of Blue Island has death record, but no record of a burial in their cemetery. Maybe buried in the original cemetery before it was moved?? Or in the old Blue Island cemetery?? The publications are: First Lutheran Cemetery (Blue Island, Ill.). Kirk Vandenberg. 2008. The Old Blue Island Cemetery 1867-1935. Janice Helge & Kirk Vandenberg. 2006. Thanks to anyone who can help.
I don't have first-hand knowledge, but two places you could try is the Tinley-Moraine Genealogists http://www.tmgenealogists.org or the South Suburban Genealogical & Historical Society http://www.ssghs.org. They have tons of information on the suburbs, especially the southwest suburban suburbs. Looking for someone to take a digital photo (and provide GPS co-ordinates) of a gravesite at Oak Woods Cemetery. It is in section L3, Lot 154. I live thousands of miles away so cannot get there. Not sure if there is a marker there. It is for my great-grandmother Anna Maria Magdalena Miller, nee Marcks. Any help appreciated.
Look at Findagrave.com. They have a listing for a little over 13,000 internments. This does not mean that the people you are looking for are listed online, but it is worth a look. Is there a database for Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL online? Would like to check some names of people who might be there. Sue _shieber@aol.com_ (mailto:shieber@aol.com)
Another place that will be helpful is the South Suburban Genealogical and Historical Society http://www.ssghs.org/ They have cemetery listings on their site. There is a Lutheran Cemetery in Worth Township as well as several others. Attempting to locate my great-grandmother’s burial place. Anna Maria Magdalena Müller (Miller) nee Marcks, wife of Henry Müller, died Oct. 17, 1889 in Blue Island. They were Lutheran, born in Germany. Need advice as to which cemeteries she might be buried in, or which church may have records. Any help appreciated.
Dennis, I have relatives that lived in Oak Lawn during that time period who were also German Lutheran. They were all buried in BETHANIA cemetery located in Justice, IL (Cook Co.). Oak Lawn and Blue Island at that time were linked together in many ways and are about 8 miles from each other. It was mostly farmland at that time. Now, I also have relatives from the south side of Chicago (Blue Island is located just south of the current city limits) who are buried in OAK HILL cemetery which is in Alsip (border of Blue Island) and there are many many German Lutherans buried there also. I'm not sure though if Oak Hill was opened yet in 1889. Prior to that, my family used OAKWOOD cemetery in Chicago, which has been around since the mid 1800s. Another possibility is MOUNT GREENWOOD Cemetery which is located in Chicago on 111th st. At that time, I don't believe that area had been annexed to Chicago yet and not sure what it was called, but this is also very close to Blue Island. If there was a death certificate filed, that information should be included or, if you haven't already, you might want to contact the Blue Island Public Library, also the Blue Island Historical Society which is located in the library to see if they have the local papers on microfilm. Perhaps there is an obituary which will give you the name of both the church and the cemetery. http://www.blueisland.org/historical-society/; http://blueislandlibrary.org. Here is a link to cemeteries in the Chicago area some have burials indexed, which might help - you might get lucky! As you can see there are so very many, including some small ones that are almost forgotten: http://genealogytrails.com/ill/cook/cem.htm Hope this helps! I am trying to find a burial record for this cemetery for a Gr-Gr-Uncle, Austin W. Gordon, b. 7 June 1827, Morgan County, OH; d. 11 November 1879, Robinson, IL. He and other family members seem to also be buried in this cemetery. It appears that info to the 'new' part of the cemetery have been voluntarily posted online. I don't know if burial records for the 'old' cemetery exist or if any stones are still there. I would gladly go an look myself, except that I live in Idaho; if anyone lives near this area, I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!
