    2. Has everyone heard that Ancestry is closing down the Rootsweb mailing lists in March? Is the admin of this list going to try and migrate the group somewhere else? We have started a new Idaho Genealogy message board/mailing list at "Groups.io" ( https://groups.io/g/IdahoGenealogy ) We want to place links to any county groups or specialized Idaho lists or groups on the home page. Of Course, anyone interested in Idaho genealogy is encouraged to join this new group I hope to hear from you RandyC

I realize this was posted several years ago but I just saw it. Marvin was married to Gracie. They had I believe 3 children. Leah May, Jerry and Pep. Jerry was my father whom I haven't seen since I was 3 and my brother Allen was 5 (45 yrs ago). We never knew our grandparents growing up. They just kind of walked out of our lives. I want to start doing genealogy on my fathers side, since I knew very little about him or his family. That is how I stumbled across this blog. Hope this helps some. In the 1919 Salt Lake City directory, she is shown as a student boarding at 35 G St. Also at that address was a Pertilla G. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: sharonmcconnel Surnames: Bolton, Warner Classification: biography Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.idaho.counties.twinfalls/749/mb.ashx Message Board Post: >From "History of Idaho, The Gem of the Mountains," Vol. III. The S. J. Clarke Publishing Co. Chicago, 1920. (p. 876) Wilbur Wesley Bolton, the manager of the Warner-Jennison Lumber Company Kimberly and Hansen, Idaho making his home and headquarters at the former place. was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 26, 1896, and is a son of Samuel H. and Clam (Date) Bolton. His father was for twenty years the secretary and treasurer of the L. R. Sharsha Manufacturing Company of Chicago, but his health failed him and he came to the west, hoping a change of climate would prove beneficial, as it did, and he is now engaged in the real estate business at Twin Falls. Wilbur W. Bolton spent the first twelve years of his life in the city of his nativity and in 1908 came to Idaho with his parents, the family home being established at Twin Falls, where he resumed his education, begun in the public schools of Chicago. He was graduated from the high school of Twin Falls, after which he made a trip to San Francisco, California, where he remained for six months. He then returned to Idaho and secured a clerkship in the Idaho Department Store at Twin Falls. with which he was thus connected for three years. In 1918 he removed to Buhl, where was the active manager for the White-Runyon Shoe Company until September, 1911, when he became manager of the Warner-Jennison Lumber Company and removed to Kimberly. In his business career he displays close application, unfaltering enterprise and unremitting diligence, and these qualities are leading to the continued development of the trade and have won him recognition as a representative business man ot his adopted city. In 1915 Mr. Bolton was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Warner, a native of Osage, Iowa, and a daughter of Thomas and Eda Warner, the former a member of bar at Osage, whence he removed to the northwest, settling with his family at Twin Falls, Idaho. To Mr. and Mrs. Bolton have been born three children: Elizabeth J., Eda Jean and Wilbur Wesley. The religious faith of the parents is that of the Methodist Episcopal church and in the social circles of Buhl they occupy an enviable position. Mr. Bolton is also connected with the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and since age conferred upon him the right of franchise he has voted with the republican party, believing firmly in its principles as factors in good government. There have been no unusual or esoteric phases in his life. He has given close attention to business since starting out in commercial circles and his thoroughness and energy have constituted the foundation upon which has been built the superstructure of his success. I do research about US servicemen who were killed in WW 2 and are/were buried in the US Military Cemetery in Holland (and Belgium), near where I live. I am searching for information about and in particular a picture from: Joseph "Joe" M(arion) Smith, killed in action December 22nd 1943. He was from/lived in Twin Falls (Co), ID, was born 1921.He was pilot on a B-24 bomber. Can you please help me?
