Emigh, 70, a well known local carpenter died at his home here Wednesday of last week following a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Shaffer Memory Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Harold Jacks of the Church of God officiating. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. John Jacob Emigh was born in Pawnee county, Nebr., March 21, 1878. He was married in Meda L. Johnson in Jewell county, Kansas 41 years ago. Besides his wife Meda, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Formosa, Kans., and several nieces and nephews. Independent Enterprise Payette, Idaho Thursday, November 18, 1948 Funeral Services Held Saturday Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at the Shaffer Memory Chapel in this city for John Jacob Emigh, who passed away in this city on Wednesday of last week. Rev. Harold Jacks had charge of the service and interment was made at Riverside. John Emigh was 70 years of age at the time of his death and had been ill over a considerable period of time. Deceased was a native of Pawnee county, Nebraska, March 21, 1878 and was married 42 years ago to Meda L. Johnson at Kansas City. Mr. and Mrs. Emigh moved to Payette 17 years ago and for sometime the former followed carpentry. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Meda Emigh, of Payette; one sister, Mary Johnson of Formosa, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
