Services will be held Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer Memory Chapel for Mrs. Mary Emily Coy Howerton, 81, of Payette, a resident here for ten years. The Rev. Martin Torrence will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Howerton died in her home late Tuesday evening following a long illness. She was born Dec. 28, 1976, in Greensburg, Mo. and was married in 1902 at Edina, Mo. to Hugh A. Howerton. They moved here form Hurland, Mo. She was a member of the Christian church of Payette. Surviving are her husband, and a son, Hugh T. Howerton, of Payette; two daughters, Mrs. Merle Cloud of Ontario and Miss Pauline Howerton of Payette; a brother, Lee Coy of Brashear, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Ba?e Golden of Kirksville, Mo., Mrs. Roselle White and Mrs. Nell Smith, both of Hurland, Mo., and Mrs. Roy Little of Edina, Mo.; one grandson and four great grandchildren.
