ALLEN The death of E. F. Allen occurred at the Ontario hospital last Saturday June 19, following a brief illness of Brights Disease, thus this community has lost a good neighbor and friend. Ebenezer Francis Allen was born at Boston, Mass., July 14, 1861, and moved with his parents when an infant to Chelse, Mass., and to Blain, Kansas, in 1879, where he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Massey, October 15, 1884. In 1891 he moved with his family to Vale, Oregon, and from there to near Payette in 1895. His wife preceded him in death in 1893, and in 1905 he was again married to Johanna Olson. He is survived by three daughters, two now living in the East, and Mrs. Sam Raby of this place. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Buell, Pastor.
