C. Armstrong, living north of town, received notice a few days ago of the death of Mrs. Jane Allen at Mt. Vernon, Ore., mother of Mrs. W. W. Stone, a former resident of the Payette Valley. Mrs. Allen died April 5 at over 80 years of age.
