A committee composed of Carl Giesler, N. A. Jacobsen and Peter Pence was appointed by the council, last Thursday night, and given full authority to proceed at once to the erection of a city building. It is proposed to spend about $800; and the structure is to be placed on the city property on Boise street between Main and Commerical. The council takes the position that it will be only the matter of a few years until Payette will need a city hall of some considerable size and pretentions, and that to put more money than the amount named into a temporary building would be useless. Chairman Giesler says that the work will be pushed ahead at once. Plans and bids will be asked for both frame and brick building.

W. W. Bellamy, of Nampa, who wrote Secretary Giesler, of the creamery board, that he would close the deal for the opening of the Payette creamery now sends word that it will be impossible for him to do so for several months if at all. He states as his reason that he was unable to get any encouragement to open the plant at Weiser; and that unless he can operate both he wants none. Another party is now figuring with the secretary, of which something may materialize.

Surnames: Hart, Royston Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5d.2ADI/2113 Message Board Post: Payette Enterprise Payette, Idaho Thursday, December 8, 1921 JOSEPHINE HART The whole community was saddened when the news came of the death of little Josephine Hart, which occurred at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. J. M. Royston in Fruitland, Thursday morning, Dec. 1 at 7:15. While she had been very ill since July 7, she had seemed to be improving and great hopes were held out for her recovery, so when death came, it was a great shock to everyone. She was born on the Royston farm on Pennsylvania Avenue, October 30, 1912, and has lived in Fruitland most of the time since. She was a member and a most regular attender of the Methodist Sunday School. Wherever she went she carried her sweet smile and sunny disposition and was loved by everyone who knew her. During her illness, she still retained these, and was patient until the last. She will be greatly missed at home and every place she was known as nothing can ever take her place. By losing this little girl we have lost one o our dearest children, and the most we can say is, "She budded on earth, to bloom in Heaven." Funeral services were held from the Fruitland Church, Sunday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. George Todd, and interment made in Riverside cemetery, Monday morning, the body being held on account of Lafe Royston, who was coming from Canada, being delayed.
