V. Williams has purchased the old Presbyterian Church and is tearing it down to make other use of the lumber. We understand it was his intention at the time he purchased the building, to organize a little church to be conducted according to his own ideas, and had even gone so far as to engage some of the main workers in the organization, Stub Farson, leader of the choir; John Taylor, superintendent of the Sunday school; "Fat" Snowberger, John Pearce and Arthur Blanchard, Deacons; Bill Wall and Jake Wannemaker, Elders; and Brother Alden, janitor but when it came to the preacher, there were so many applicants for the job and none seem to coincide with his ideas of expounding the gospel, so he gave up the idea and will probably build a barn out of the lumber.

We agree with the Commissioners in this plan, it will shorten the distance for the people east of Payette and Little Willow in crossing the river to the Fruitland bench. It will also accommodate the people of the Fruitland bench in visiting the section east of Payette. Let us have good roads and plenty of them.
