Vanderhoof of Tooele, UT, 72, passed away Saturday Feb. 9, 2002 of natural causes. He was born July 10, 1929 in Holbrook, ID the son of Warren W. and Ethel C. Vanderhoof. He was one of nine children. He married his wife Pat in McMinnville, OR. He served in the U.S. Navy from August 1950 to July 1954. Joe transferred to TEAD from Mt. Rainier Ord. Depot in Tacoma, WA in 1963, retiring in 1989 with 34 1/2 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Pat; and three children, Rich (Barbara) of Ogden, UT; Ron of Salt Lake City, UT; Sherri (Joe) Nelson of Rush Valley, UT; seven grandsons, six granddaughters and three great-grandsons. Because of his love for children, in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Primary Children"s Hospital or a charity of your choice in his name. Funeral services will be held at Tate Mortuary 110 So. Main St. Thursday Feb. 14, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment at the Tooele City Cemetery. At his request, there will be no viewing.
