She was born December 6, 1911 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of William and Sarah Fallis. She married Norman Louis Petersen in Malad, Idaho on October 5, 1929. They have lived in Hyrum and Ogden since their marriage. She worked most of her life at Kress"s, American Canning Factory, McKesson-Robbins and Skagg"s Drug Store. She was a member of the American Business Women"s Assoc. and a member of the LDS 54th Ward. She is survived by her daughters Betty and (Val) Russell, Alamo, CA; Louise Harbinson, Walnut Creek, CA; her grandchildren, Cristine and (Ben) Heineman, Darien, CT; Ric and (Mia) Russell, Lafayette, CA; Michele Russell, West Hollywood, CA; Diane and (Kevin) Turner, Alamo, CA; also eight great-grandchildren, Matt and Zach Heineman; Nick and Caroline Russell, Bree, Kale, Dane and Anders Turner. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Ethel Petersen, Ogden, Utah; and Margene Thurston, Salem, Oregon; brother-in-law, Vern and (Buehah) Petersen, Brigham City, Utah. Myme was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norman L. Petersen; son Norman Dean; her parents William and Sarah Fallis; brothers Bill, Dee, Dan and Asa; sister Leona Greene Fallis; her parents-in-law Gertrude Petersen and Louis H. Petersen; brothers-in-law Reed and Perc Petersen; sister-in-law Lois Rissler; son-in-law Bill Harbinson. At this time of our great loss, we especially want to thank Myme"s and our wonderful neighbors and friends, Lana and Ray Horspool, Penny and Greg Pack, and Karen and Harold Shaw, as well as Crestwood Care Center and its wonderful staff that cared for Myme. Funeral services will be held on Monday, may 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Malad Cemetery.
