She was born January 21, 1932, in St. Ignatius, Montana, a daughter of Richard Vere and Verda Roholt Weeks. Janice was raised and educated in Grace, and was a graduate of Grace High School. She married James Gordon in 1949, and they were later divorced. After moving to Soda Springs Janice began working in the banking business and for several years was employed with Idaho First Bank and Trust Co., as a teller and later in management. In 1982, she married Kay Egbert, and they had lived in Malad for the past several years. Janice was an avid gardener and also enjoyed quilting. She is survived by her husband, Kay, of Malad; her father, Richard Weeks of Soda Springs; two sons, Jerry Gordon of Kellogg, Idaho, Mike Gordon of Livingston, Montana; two daughters, Jana (Bill) Laird of Lovelock, Nevada, Marie Nottingham of Lolo, Montana; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dawn (Leroy) Harr of Twin Falls, Lorraine (Bill) Mechum of Dubois, Wyoming; one step-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, two stepdaughters, Paula Egbert and Pamela Jean Noyce. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at 1 p.m., in the Grace City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
