She was born December 6, 1935, in Vernal, Utah, the daughter of William and Odell Thomas. She was raised in Hyrum, Utah, where she also attended school. She married Deloy B. Hall and had seven children. They later divorced. She married Melvin Spencer of Malad, and was sealed for time and eternity in the Logan, Utah temple. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in her church and community callings. One of her many accomplishments in life was being honored as Oneida County Homemaker of the Year. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her joys in life; she enjoyed temple work and genealogy. She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin; sons, Rex Hall, Robert Hall; daughters, Sharon (Wendall) Balls, Annette (Doug) Peterson, Janet (David) Wood, GuyAnn (Vint) Larsen, Kristi (Robert) Smith; stepchildren, Melvin (Myungha) Spencer, Suzanne (Bruce) Barkley, Robert (Shannon) Spencer; 30 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and also by four sisters, Cressy, Juanita Hildredge and Mary; and one brother, William Boyd Thomas Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Odell C. Thomas, father, William Boyd Thomas, and sister, Elsie Poppleton. Funeral services will be held in Malad, Idaho Saturday, November 24 at noon at the Malad LDS Third Ward building. Friends will be received at Horsley Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, Nov. 23, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Malad City Cemetery. The family extends our gratitude for all the acts of kindness shown. Horsley Funeral Home in Malad was in charge of arrangements.
