Born January 6, 1920 in Malad, Idaho to Daniel W. Thorpe and Florence May Beard. Married Robert Henry Daugherty July 15, 1937. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elsie served at the LDS Church Distribution Center for 8 years. Elsie enjoyed talking and spending time with her posterity. She taught everybody how to crochet. Her house was always everyone's home; her door was always open. She is survived by five children; 21 grandchildren; 63 great-grand-children; one great-great-grand-daughter; and one brother. Preceded in death by her husband and a granddaughter. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Logan City Cemetery, 1000 North 1200 East, Logan. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Rd., Taylorsville. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Mortuaries. She is loved and will be greatly missed.
